CAPITAL Feature in NHS Shine a Light on Co-production Event

We’re excited to share that CAPITAL will be presenting at one of the NHS England’s upcoming Shine a Light on Co-production events this July, with presentations and information about the West Sussex Drug and Alcohol Partnership project with WSCC.

Taking place on Tuesday 21st July at 10:30am – 12:00pm, the event will bring together people from across health and care to explore what meaningful co-production looks like in practice, and why lived experience must be at the heart of service design and delivery.

As a lived experience-led charity, we know that real change happens when people with direct experience of mental health challenges, drug and alcohol support services, and recovery are recognised not just as service users, but as experts. Their knowledge, insight and leadership help shape services that are more compassionate, effective and responsive to people’s needs.

During this session, we’ll be sharing our experience of working in partnership through the West Sussex Drug and Alcohol Partnership with West Sussex County Council and other partners like Alcohol Change UK, highlighting how co-production has helped strengthen support.

Most importantly, we’ll be exploring the difference that genuine collaboration can make, not just to services, but to people’s lives.

This event is for anyone interested in:

  • Co-production and lived experience leadership
  • Improving health and care services
  • Peer support and community-led approaches
  • Learning from real-world examples of partnership working

Whether you work in health or social care, are part of a voluntary organisation, or have lived experience yourself, we’d love for you to join us.

We’re proud to be part of this important conversation and to help shine a light on the value of lived experience.

Join us online on 21st July and be part of the conversation!
