80% Funding Cut Under New Mental Health Contract

This has removed independent, lived experience based inpatient peer support entirely (as of December 2025) and the majority of CAPITAL community support due to redundancies we are relying on volunteers. This new contract delegates 0.2% of the £5m contract funds to CAPITAL leaving us at serious risk of closure.

We are a member-led charity organisation, pressing for change and utilising our lived experience.

Alongside peer support, our work focuses on generating independent lived experience insight to strengthen accountability and governance in local health systems.

Served our communities since 1997, confronting issues and leading from the forefront.
