Ahead of Men’s Health Week, join our online Men's Group!
Men’s Health Week, organised by the Men’s Health Forum, takes place from 15–21 June 2026 and focuses on encouraging men to seek support earlier, look after their wellbeing, and connect with others. While progress has been made in reducing stigma, many men still find it difficult to reach out for support when they are struggling.
Men’s Mental Health Matters
Mental health challenges can affect anyone, but men are often less likely to seek help or speak openly about how they’re feeling. Cultural expectations around being “strong”, “coping”, or “getting on with it” can make it harder to ask for support.
The reality is that reaching out is a sign of strength. Whether it’s talking to a friend, joining a peer support group, speaking to a GP, or accessing specialist support, no one should have to face difficult times alone.
Across the UK, there is growing recognition that connection, community, and conversation play a vital role in protecting men’s mental health. Peer support groups and men’s spaces continue to grow in popularity because they provide a safe, judgement-free environment where people can talk honestly about their experiences.
The Power of Connection
Many men describe loneliness and isolation as significant challenges to their wellbeing. Life pressures, work, family responsibilities, and changes in circumstances can make it difficult to maintain social connections.
One of the strongest protective factors for mental health is having people around us who listen, understand, and share similar experiences. Sometimes simply knowing you’re not alone can make a huge difference.
Join Our Online Men’s Group
At CAPITAL, we offer a free, peer-led online Men’s Group for men aged 18+, funded by the Sussex Community Foundation.
The group provides a relaxed and supportive space where men can:
- Connect with others who understand
- Share experiences in a safe environment
- Talk openly without judgement
- Build confidence and social connections
- Support one another through life’s challenges
You don’t need a diagnosis or referral to attend – just a willingness to join the conversation at whatever level feels comfortable for you.

Information & Resources
Men’s Health Week isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about checking in – with yourself, with your friends, with your family, and with your community.
A conversation won’t solve everything, but it can be the start of something important.
This June, if you’re struggling, reach out. If someone comes to you for support, listen. And if you’re looking for a place to connect with others, our online Men’s Group is here for you.
Because no one should have to face things alone. 💙

If you prefer something local or more casual rather than formal therapy, peer groups can make a big difference. Men meeting men, sharing, not judging – sometimes that’s enough to shift the weight of what we carry.
At CAPITAL, we recognise the importance of mental well-being for men (and everyone) as part of our broader mission. We support initiatives and partner with organisations to ensure men aren’t forgotten, that stigma is challenged, and that conversations happen.
