It's Payroll Giving Month in February, an annual event that aims to raise awareness and increase the support good causes receive through this form of giving through donations. Payroll Giving offers the opportunity to donate to one or more causes.

Payroll Giving (sometimes known as Give as You Earn) is an easy and tax-efficient way of making regular donations to your favourite charities straight from your gross pay. All UK registered charities and charitable organisations are eligible to receive donations via Payroll Giving.
By donating to a charity from your gross pay it means there is no income tax liability on your donation and you will pay less tax.
Donations made from gross pay also mean the charities you donate to don’t need to claim Gift Aid related to your donation. Payroll Giving is especially efficient for medium and higher rate taxpayers allowing for larger donations at a lower cost Payroll Giving Month happens every February when charities, Payroll Giving Agencies, Professional Fundraising Organisations and companies come together to raise awareness of Payroll Giving.
Over 1 million people in the UK donate to charities in this way! Together, they have raised over £2 billion for good causes. However, the number of people giving through Payroll Giving has decreased over time, falling 13% between 2020 and 2022 so it's important to raise more awareness of this prospect.
Payroll Giving Month helps by increasing awareness of charitable giving amongst employers and their employees, and encouraging businesses to sign up to a scheme. It is supported by partners across the sector, including the Chartered Institute of Fundraising, the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals, Professional Fundraising Organisations, the Association of Payroll Giving Organisations, Payroll Giving Agencies, as well as charities.
There's an opportunity to win £1k for anyone who signs up in February - so please consider signing up soon!
